Overview
Maghail is a colossal dragon in the central chamber of the biggest volcano of the Scorchfreeze Sierras. Believed to be linked to the bizarre climate of the region, it seems to rapidly metamorphosize between a magma form and an ice form. Being nothing more than a wild animal, however, Maghail is highly territorial and will eat any unfortunate trespassers of its turf.
Fight Overview
Maghail is the semifinal skill check of the game, designed to once again test the player's combat skills and memory. He switches between his Magma and Ice forms, changing his attacks, and in his second phase requires the player to play a memory game.
Phase 1
Maghail spits a meteor at the player. He will do this attack several times in succession, the more his HP drains. These all may inflict On Fire.
Maghail briefly winds up, and then shoots a stream of lava aimed straight at the player for a few seconds. They must either find cover or guard to defend against it.
Maghail will only use this move after using his other attacks at least once each. Maghail roars, and charges to the player, attempting to bite them, dealing massive damage. He will then fly directly upwards, switching forms.
Maghail will spit ice upwards, which will then land where the player stood when he spat them. He will use this several times in succession, the more his HP drains.
Maghail winds up, and spits out a lobbing ball of ice. When it explodes, it will inflict Freezing on the player if it hits.
Maghail will only use this move after using his other attacks at least once each. Maghail roars, and charges to the player, attempting to bite them, dealing massive damage. He will then fly directly upwards, switching forms.
Phase 2
Maghail will enter a new form where he is both icy and flaming. Whichever element he will attack with next flares up on his body.
Maghail shoots an extremely fast set of fireballs at the player. These will inflict On Fire.
Maghail roars brilliantly before breathing fire across the bottom part of the arena, causing the entire area to be on fire. This will deal high damage over time if the player stands in it.
Maghail spits and lobs a ball of ice at the player. This deals high damage and inflicts Freezing.
Maghail roars brilliantly and causes the top parts of the arena to jut icicles upward. These deal heavy damage if the player stands on them.
Maghail roars briefly and stares at the player. His body flares up in a random order (ice or fire) before he flies away. The top and bottom sections of the arena will briefly be afflicted by Flame Belch or Icicle Spikes in the respective order before he flies back down.
