Alina Abilities

Starter

Royal Daggers ( X ) - Alina conjures and slashes dual daggers, attacking wide and fast. Deals low damage, with very short range.

"Created by Alina's father, these daggers were originally a gift made for his betrothed, before her sudden disappearance. Alina took them and conjurated them into her arsenal while grieving her mother."

Claymore of the Divine ( Y ) - Alina conjures and swings a huge claymore diagonally downwards, albeit slowly. Deals plenty of damage.

"Similar to her Royal Daggers, this massive claymore was a gift made by Alina's mother for her husband. Sworn to avenge her parents, she conjurated it too and set off on her adventure."

Early-game

Ethereal Bow - ( RT ) - Alina conjures a bow and arrow. The arrow deals low damage, but it can be fired quickly (even faster in the air) and homes in on the closest target. (The home-in is somewhat sluggish, and the arrow will dissipate if it hits anything.) Costs a very low amount of SP that adds up quickly.

"Unlike her other weapons, Alina's Ethereal Bow was not conjurated from an existing weapon. Instead, she created it herself using her conjuration abilities and added it to her arsenal."

Ancient Ring - Alina's Ethereal Bow can now be charged to fire an extremely fast and powerful energy projectile, at a much higher SP cost. This can activate certain mechanical objects. If Alina doesn't have enough SP the moment the button is released, it will fire a normal arrow.

"This ancient ring from a bygone era seems to be made perfectly for Conjurists to enhance their conjurations. Alina takes great advantage of this to imbue her arrows with even more energy."

Mid-game

Ice Bolt - ( LT ) - Alina fires a bolt of ice, potentially inflicting whatever it hits with Freezing. This can cool down exceptionally hot objects. Costs a moderate amount of SP.

"Most Elutherian mages do not specialize in several types of magic, but Alina is no common mage. She has extended her studies and practice to ice magic, and this is the result."

Damsel's Grasp - ( LB ) + ( RT ) - Alina shortly rushes forward, attempting to grab a target with magic. If she does, she can throw them in a given direction ( X ), slam them down and create a shockwave ( Y ), or jump high off of them ( A ). She can also let go of the target with ( B ), and the target will break free if she takes too long to do anything.

Used in the air, throwing the target slightly pushes her in the opposite direction, ( Y ) will now make her piledrive the target, and ( A ) will send the target rocketing down to the ground.

"Alina channels her latching desires and stubborn, hotheaded nature into her spellcasting, allowing her to grapple her foes."

Late-game

Magic Vacuum - Alina will absorb attacks while she guards, converting them to SP at a 20% ratio. (Example: a 50 damage attack would give her 10 SP. (50 * 0.2 = 10))

"Alina's pure mastery of magic has culminated into a unique ability to absorb blows without harming her, converting it into pure soul energy."

Psi-Lance - ( LT ) + ( RT ) - Alina briefly charges a mass of psionic energy, then blasts it in a given direction, piercing both enemies and walls. Deals an extremely high amount of damage. Consumes all SP and always requires 80% of your max SP.

"Psionic spells are one of the most dangerous schools of magic in Elutheria. Very few mages even dare study it, let alone perform it. Alina is a complete master of magic, and could study psionics, but this is the only spell she dares learn."
