Status Effects

Overview

Status effects are pretty simple; it will apply an effect to a target until its timer runs out. The timer is generally determined by what afflicted it, but each effect has a default duration just in case.

Status effects all have icons that show over the target's head (or on the player's HUD). The icon will either be green (positive), red (negative), or grey (neutral). The icon will slowly become black in a pie circle and have a timer on it to show how long it lasts.

Universal Status Effects

These are status effects that are afflicted by numerous sources or miscellaneous ones.

On Fire

The target is on fire and will take constant damage over time.

Freezing

The target is freezing cold and moves much slower. The player will be unable to dodge, and enemies will be unable to attack.

Acid Burn

The target has both their MDEF and RDEF reduced by 75%.

Envenomated

The target has been afflicted with venom and is not only taking damage over time, but moves slower. On Hero Mode, this also prevents the player from using their abilities (but not power combos). Enemies cannot attack while Envenomated.
