Hero Mode
Hero Mode is an alternative difficulty option, making the game much more challenging with new enemy placements, altered enemy attacks, all damage taken being doubled, and other miscellaneous challenges.
Throughout the wiki, any text that is highlighted in orange is exclusive to Hero Mode. Examples: 23/42 This enemy does this. In Hero Mode, they also do this. This effect does this. This too.
Miscellaneous Changes
All damage, given and taken, is given a 1.3x multiplier.
All enemies have 1.2x as much health.
It is now possible to die from voiding out. Voiding out also deals 15% of your HP instead of 5%.
Soul Flowers only restore 30% of your max SP.
Being knocked down no longer grants you intangibility.
The player no longer regens to a threshold of 20% max HP.
All chances to inflict status effects are higher, including against enemies.
Experience is earned at a 1.5x rate, to compensate for the harder enemies.
