Searcher

Searchers are small, frail sentinels that patrol the Dark Rooms, emitting a cone of light from their eyes in front of them. They will move on a preset path, never straying from it unless it is blocked. They have low health and cannot attack, but their Shriek will awaken the Stalker.

Spotted

Should the player enter the Searcher's cone of light for too long, the Searcher will stop moving and begin collecting up a shriek. This takes 5 seconds, allowing the player to defeat it before it shrieks.

Shriek

If the player fails to defeat the Searcher before it finishes its charging state, the Searcher will let out a terrifying, loud shriek and vanish. This wakes the Stalker.

Codex Entry

This monster seems to have a biological link with the Stalkers, as its distinct shriek will awake its Stalker. Whether the monster is a spawn of the Stalker, or if it is a completely unique species is unknown.
