Armor/Helmets
Overview
Armor reduces how much damage the protagonists take from Melee and Ranged sources. There are two slots for armor; one for a Helmet, and one for a Body. Each Armor is unique and designed for different playstyles, providing differing protection against melee damage and ranged damage; also known as their MDEF and RDEF stats, respectively.
Armors additionally sometimes have unique, small bonuses (or even detriments) that further lean into the playstyle they incentivize. This most often affects small parameters, like running speed or stagger chances, unlike Trinkets, which provide more radical overhauls.
Further, some armor sets also include set bonuses, even further incentivizing the playstyle they promote.
Rough Concepts
Hunter's Vest - 4MD | 2RD
Made of warm leather, this vest staves off the cold well but doesn't seem to prove much worth in combat.
Archer's Scarf - 2MD | 4RD
This beat-up old scarf has seen more than its fair share of hunted game.
Chainmail Vest - 8MD | 3RD
Although the chains are a bit uncomfortable, this fits snuggly under your armor for a little bit more protection.
Thief's Garbs - 4 MD | 12RD
Tainted with an aura of thievery, you can't help but feel a tingle of kleptomania arise when you wear this.
Fairy Tutu - 4MD | 6RD
+ 10% resistance against all damage
Getting Zedekiah to put this on will take a bit of work, but it's so cute your foes will have no choice but to go a little easy on you.
Magic Vest - 5MD | 8RD
+ 33% resistance against Magic attacks
Although this magical, silk garb feels comfortable under your armor, it doesn't quite feel like it provides much protection against direct attacks.
Glass Plates - 15MD | 12RD
One would think armor made of glass would be completely impractical, but the expert craftsmanship behind it gives it boastful defensive power.
Rock Armor - 30MD | 30RD
+Super Armor; cannot be Staggered and high resistance to being Knocked Down
-30% movement speed
Wearing this makes you feel as sturdy as a boulder. Just as sluggish as one, too.
Ninja Yoroi - 8MD | 18RD
+Dodge faster and remain intangible longer
This garb from a distant land was made with exceptional agility in mind. It provides poor protection, but allows for free movement.
