After a life of hardships, Zedekiah Flamestead is a disciplined, skilled warlock with exceptional prowess in fire magic. Although his combat style is incredibly focused, Zedekiah finds trouble in controlling his passionate emotions and often acts on them without second thought.

Overview

A strong-willed warrior, Zedekiah has a very strong sense of justice and fights adamantly for what he believes is right. He is exceptionally disciplined and well-trained, wielding his blade as though it were a pure extension of himself. His high discipline fares well in combat, but falters when confronted with emotions, where Zedekiah fails to control them and often acts before he thinks.

In-game, Zedekiah is a master in head-to-head combat. His powerful melee combos and signature Flamelash ability let him go toe-to-toe with the fiercest of fighters, but struggles with enemies at longer ranges. His abilities are also fairly costly, making them great tools for laying down the hurt, but not very dependable.

Backstory

Zedekiah's father, Dalmas Flamestead, was a highly-respected royal guardsman tasked to guard a diplomatic meeting between Elutheria's queen Galidas and the distant kingdom of Dalmara. During his stay in Dalmara, he fell in love with the queen's daughter, Kaiden Alanas. However, Dalmara's laws dictate that the princess may only marry one of nobility. As such, they had to keep their relationship a secret. Unfortunately, their secret life was discovered, and Kaiden was disowned by her parents after a long, frightful argument. To maintain diplomatic relationships between the two kingdoms, Galidas decreed that Dalmas would be permanently retiring and sent back to Elutheria effective immediately.

Forced into poverty, the two built a life together and birthed two children; Zedekiah, and his sister Kamari. Unfortunately, Kaiden grew ill, and no amount of magic seemed to cure her. She passed away when Zedekiah was merely 7 years old. Kamari, age 12, fraught with grief, ran away from home.

Dalmas began a difficult balance of working as a private guard and raising his son. Due to the nature of his profession, Zedekiah would often be left home alone for lengthy periods of time. His natural curiosity led him into the field of the arcane, and he began learning how to conjure fire from his fingertips. Dalmas, seeing the potential danger- but also promise- his son showed, decided to quit his job entirely and train Zedekiah into a soldier.

Life was no longer easy for Zedekiah, with his father now spending every day teaching Zedekiah to hone his body and soul. Rigorous training exercises abolished Zedekiah's playful demeanor, and he soon became a disciplined, rigid soul. Despite how hard he'd pushed him, Zedekiah loved his father, as he was the family he still had. Sadly, Dalmas soon abruptly disappeared with no trace. Whether he is alive is unknown to this day.

Now 15, Zedekiah was left to fend on his own. Seeing no other choice (or job opportunities), Zedekiah decided to join the Elutherian Guard, and passed every test they threw at him. He became the youngest member of the Guard, and quickly flew up the ranks.

Shortly before the events of the game, Zedekiah has proven his worth as a loyal asset to Elutheria, and is scheduled to be promoted to the Elite Royal Guard; a personal bodyguard for the royal family.
